Prime Minister Tony Blair Opens TSC Kilmarnock

Prime Minister Tony Blair visited Telecom Service Centre’s new Kilmarnock operation at Rowallan Business Park on April 26th.
On a tour of the new TSC site during a visit to the town, the PM met with TSC CEO Ken Hills to unveil the plaque that officially opens the site.
In welcoming his visitors to the opening of the company's newest site, Ken Hills spoke of his pleasure at bringing new jobs to the Kilmarnock area.
"We have been delighted at the positive reaction received from the local community and the quality of the staff we have recruited," said Hills.

Together with Ken Hills, the PM was accompanied by Margaret Jamieson the candidate MSP for Kilmarnock and Jane Hext, Vodafone's Director of Customer Services.

TSC's Kilmarnock site will assist Vodafone's other centres in handling its pre-pay customer enquiries. Jane Hext said: "It's exciting to be working with TSC at this new site and together we anticipate delivering an even better service for our 10 million pre-pay customers."

The PM also visited TSC's training area where new Call Centre Agents are being instructed.
TSC Kilmarnock is already having a positive impact on the local economy where the company has over 200 staff employed there with plans to expand the operation to 500 staff.
